Hello family, friends and readers!
Today is Sunday! Since my main church is on Saturday, I had the freedom to check out other churches. Kevin, from connect church and my share house, kindly took me along with his schedule. I did some early morning work before meeting Kevin and we stopped at the konbini for lunch. I grabbed the Tuna Mayo Onigiri.
The church we attended today was the Yokohama Every Nation Church. Considered a larger church, It looked similar to Father’s House Church back home.
We didn’t stay to chat, since we had to meet with others to watch a movie. But on our walk to the theaters, I saw the Giant Ferris Wheel in Yokohama. I will definitely ride that.
Can you guess what movie we watched? Apparently, Ant-man and the Wasp was just released in Japan, so we got a poster for watching! But I dropped it in between the booth and window of the restaurant we went to, so sad.
The meet up was for individuals that wanted to watch the movie but didn’t really have anyone to go with. This kind of culture is new to me, and very interesting! Many people that met for the movie found a post online by Kevin.
Next was travelling to Kanda to eat Chicago Style Pizza. I’ve never had it before, but I definitely enjoyed it! I’ll have to try this again back in North America.
This group was a mix between Connect Church members and Share house residents. It was definitely interesting to hear what brings people to Japan. I’m very happy that I became acquainted with more people in the sharehouse through this meet up.
“I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken”
